The École Supérieure Robert de Sorbon is officially a French registered Institution of Higher Education. It is allowed to bestow university degrees in France, as per Article L 713 1 to 14 of the French code de l'éducation. It's webpage claims through these mechanisms the French Minister of Education allows it to award degrees.

The Robert de Sorbon instituions claims to be allowed to issue degrees through the Validation des Acquis de l'Experience (2002). This claims to recognize the academic value of "Work Experience." It is missing from UNESCO related IAU Universities List of world. universities [1] Sorbon claims it is approved by US evaluators, but according to the Council on Higher Education Accreditation and the US Department of Education these are not recognized accreditors nor does École supérieure Robert de Sorbon appear in any North American databases.[2][3] Thereby making this institution unaccredited.
