Éder Guterres Silveira (born October 7, 1977 in São Borja, Rio Grande do Sul), aka Gaúcho, is a Brazilian footballer currently playing for Al-Nassr of Saudi Arabia, as a central defender.

Football career

Éder Gaúcho started his professional career with Grêmio Foot-Ball Porto Alegrense, and helped it to the 1997 Brazilian Cup. In 1999, he moved abroad, joining União Desportiva de Leiria of Portugal, where he first remained three seasons.

Gaúcho stayed in the country afterwards, transferring to Boavista FC, but moved in the 2005 winter transfer window to FC Terek Grozny. After a quick spell back in Brazil, he returned to Leiria, notably scoring in the 4-1 home win over FK Hajduk Kula, in the second leg of the last qualifying round of the 2007 Intertoto Cup, with a subsequent UEFA Cup qualification.

In July 2008, Éder joined Al-Nassr.
