A product of local outfit RCD Espanyol's youth system, Sielva made his first team (and topflight) debut on 30 August 2008, at the age of 17 years and 24 days, during the season opener against Real Valladolid, replacing Iván de la Peña in the closing stages of the match, and being booked in the 1–0 home triumph. He appeared in five matches during that first campaign.
In late August 2009, Sielva was loaned for a season to FC Cartagena, freshly promoted to the second division.
Sielva was a regular for the Spanish U-17 side, playing a vital role in its triumph during the 2008 European Championship held in Turkey.
