Kaş returned back to alma mater in the following summer, and made almost 30 appearances in his remaining two seasons there. He managed to score two goals against Vestel Manisaspor in the final game of the 2007-08 season, a 5-1 win.[1]

At the end of the campaign, Kaş agreed terms with Spanish outfit Getafe CF, joining for the 2008–09 season on a Bosman transfer.[2]He made his La Liga debut against Athletic Bilbao in a 1–0 win, on 29 September 2008[3][4]but, during his first season, only made a handful of appearances for the club.

Kaş received his first call up to the Turkish national team in a Euro 2008 qualifying game away to Norway on 17 November 2007, however in injury early on in the game saw him substituted. Turkey went on to win 2-1.[6]
