Żur śląski, Silesian: Ślůnski žur and in English as sour rye soup or Silesian sour soup, is a type of żur soup made from soured rye flour and meat (usually boiled pork sausage or pieces of smoked sausage, bacon or ham). It is specific to Silesia and other western Slavic nations such as Poland, Slovakia and the Czech Republic.
