(a+)machines, A+ Machines or A Plus Machines is a rock supergroup from Austin, Texas founded in 2003 by Blue October bassist Matt Noveskey and Blue October roadie Alan Adams (formerly of Falling Jupiter and Flywater Washington), and rounded out by guitarists Ryan Holley (formerly of Plow Monday and Pavlov's Dogs) and Chris Lynch (formerly of Blackleg and Liquid Stereo Project).

From 2003 to 2006 the band actively toured with such bands as Canvas, 7 Mary 3, Vallejo and The Burden Brothers and released an EP and live album. Since Noveskey rejoined Blue October in 2005, (a+)machines has been relegated to side project status, playing live shows sporadically during the gaps in Blue October's busy touring and recording schedule. In spite of only giving periodic performances, the band maintains a large and loyal fanbase. Their most recent concert was June 16, 2007 in celebration of Noveskey's birthday.

Julian Mandrake is now guitarist for Mothers' Anthem. Jon Dishon is playing keys/guitar with Hollow, as well as DJ'ing under the guise of Triple Tronica. Ryan Holley now plays guitar for Eyes Burn Electric (formerly Dremnt The End) and fronts the Austin-based rock band The Wartime Social.
