]project-open[ is an open source based web project management, financial controlling and professional services automation software for companies in the consulting, engineering, advertising and localization sectors.

Project-open is supported by a company of the same name, founded by a group of German engineers in Barcelona, Spain. The company offers installation, configuration, training and other support services.

Project-open covers the project life cycle from sales (CRM-light), staffing, execution (timesheet, incidents, discussions, controlling, and file storage) to invoicing and payment. The Project-open architecture is designed for mission-critical applications with an infrastructure based on OpenACS and a role-based permission system.
