.hack//Twilight is a 2D fan-made MORPG based on the .hack series. It runs on the PlayerWorlds game engine but is rumored to be changing soon. It is currently a Beta Test release.

When you first start off in the game you choose your gender. Then you teleport to the first town (Root Town in the game), to buy all of your basic newbie items. You use a Chaos Gate to teleport from area to area. The main Root Town is Delta Server: Aqua Capital Mac Anu which has all the basics, such as shops, a fishing area, etc. The game features monthly events, contests, quests, and other adverturesome activities. While the game revolves around no central plot, it uses many elements from the .hack series. Gameplay is centered on character self-development, and/or partying with other players to complete the aforementioned quests and events.
