Each year Fortune Magazine ranks the top 100 best places to work in America. The survey is based employee surveys and a review of the company's culture. 2/3 of the total score is from employee responses to a 57 survey on the culture of the company. The rest of the score is based on demographics make up, pay, benefits, culture and giving back to a community.

The 2006 Survey winner was Genentech of South San Francisco.
