11th Strand is an American rock band from Colorado Springs, Colorado consisting of Quentin Hoffman (vocals), Geno (bass guitar, vocals), Dan Barron (guitar, vocals), and Chris Salas (drums). The band was formed in May of 2007. Prior to this Geno, Dan, and Chris had already been playing together in a band called Hazen which had a female lead singer. Ironically the name 11th Strand was submitted by Quentin Hoffman to roommate Geno as an idea for a new band name when Geno was still a member of Hazen. When Hazen met its demise at the end of April, 2007, Geno approached roommate Quentin about trying out for lead vocals in the new band (11th Strand). Quentin initially hesitated citing the great amount of work, dedication, and commitment required to be successful. However, because Geno was persistent and because Quentin could not dismiss the amazing potential that he saw for the band, he eventually conceded to try out. On May 3rd, 2007 he sang with 11th Strand for the first time and before the month was over he agreed to accept the position as lead singer. He quickly became an equally important member of the band who added much creative fuel to an already blazing fire. The guys began practicing four days a week at a venue called The Green Room which was set up as "a place for musicians" to practice and perform shows. The guys began to find their sound as 11th Strand by reworking old songs and writing new ones. This continued until November 25, 2007 when they played their first live show on a Sunday night at Union Station in Colorado Springs, Colorado. After that they began to play about two shows a month. They very quickly began to get noticed for having a "unique and wonderful sound" and the fans started to pour in. Owners of bars and venues also recognized the quality and talent of the band and began booking more and better shows. The band is currently playing around eight shows a month and has expanded to areas of Denver and Pueblo, Colorado. To date there are no recorded albums but the band has plans to do some studio recording in the very near future.

The meaning of 11th Strand

The term 11th Strand comes from the belief that there exists 12 Strands of DNA. There are the original 2 strands as recognized by modern science, and then there are 10 additional strands known as virtual strands. Once the the Archetypal Chromosomes are activated at the ethereal or consciousness level, then ten new strands of DNA are called forth and stacked and integrated. This complements and accelerates the functioning of the existing DNA. Each strand is profound in its infinite capacity to enhance human life to that of "light-body," and may have universal functions beyond human limitations. Some kind of cellular language connects consciousness in the cell with that of the entire body. Many studies and experiments by scientists in quantum physics, medicine, psychology, and metaphysics reinforce the view that, somehow, a cellular language enables each cell to resonate within and beyond its intention and purpose.


These ten virtual strands make up five "virtual pairs" which are actually cosmic links, or the Universal Life Force, residing in each cell. They connect our spirit with our human genetic coding.


These are the names and functions of the five new DNA pairs:

1. Communication The communication command center strands communicate and resonate with all existing life forms within and beyond the cell, cell to cell, mind to cell, cell to Spirit and Spirit to cell. It enables the healer and cellular communication to occur, whereby the conscious intent of the mind and body respectively exchange information, interact via tone, and whereby the intent of the soul is recorded in the physical body. The lifeline of all intelligence depends on this ceaseless interaction and communication. DNA comprises the simplest molecular structure. Before that, there are electrons, and before that, vibration. Life vibrates and communicates, and that's what makes intent such a vital aspect of DNA sequencing and communicating.



2. Perfection Perfection is the never-ending quest for health, perfect cellular replication, healing, and expansion of the lightbody. These strands confront incongruities within the DNA itself and the immune system. They receive and hear the command to heal and return to balance. They maintain the perfection of the Divine Blueprint within each of us. Perfection means nourishment, cleansing, and mobility. It's what sustains vibrant life.


3. Energy in Motion Energy in motion is cellular identity and resonance, initiator of cellular ambiance and expansion, ultimate expression of happiness, joy, and bliss, energy activation for love, truth, and trust. These "energy-in-motion" strands process all psychological and emotional commands and cellular memory, and they assist in identifying and releasing emotional blocks and life traumas. When the cell achieves its perfection or optimal state, these strands make it possible for the cell to produce its own light energy. When these strands echo the "sounds" of balance and integration, bliss is felt and Divine Energy is created.



4. Creativity The Creativity strands co-create the "cultural" aspects of life, caring aspects of conscious manifestation, intuitive surges from higher sources, inner cellular wisdom and abundance. These strands break down emotional static electricity which coagulates and suppresses life, and keeps the creative energies of life dynamic. We heal our illusions and learn to be, expressing the Soul and manifesting the Divine Blueprint. It's within these strands that the DNA unveils the blockages of receptivity and opens the door for each of us to absorb Grace and Divine Wisdom.


5. Immortality Immortality strands generate the spontaneous and timeless living in the moment; eternity and affinity with the Creator and Divine Consciousness. The gold and silver strands-Threads of Everlasting Life-stand for ultimate balance between all things, and assure that the relationship between the Creator, Man and the Planet remain in perfect harmony and oneness. These strands are extremely powerful and can instantaneously attune our relationship with Higher-Self and Source. We go into our own totality, our ownership of ourselves, and ultimately determine Who We Are!

The combined ability of the DNA strands is magnificent. They operate at the creative- subconscious level and totally are dependent upon free choice and will of the individual. They are obedient beyond imagination. What makes them spectacular is that they operate within their own functionality. With total conscious creative action, they will instantaneously execute the "will" of the individual, blissfully performing every operation to perfection, with unlimited scope.


Under this belief, the 11th Strand is the "Philosopher's Stone" or "manna".

Lets take a closer look at the History of Manna

The Hebrew translation of this word literally means, "What is it?" Manna is referred to repeatedly in the Egyptian Book of the Dead, Hermetic scrolls and the Bible. It is the mfkzt (Milk of Hathor/Ishtar), depicted on ancient stone carvings and pharonic cartouches, being offered to feed the Ka (spiritual body) of Pharaohs and was the essential key to transforming them and others into Light Beings.
It is the shem-an-na (highward fire-stone) believed to be the superconductive source of the blinding white light and terrifying destructive force of the Ark of the Covenant. It is the White Powder of Gold whose levitation properties, proven by modern science, was a closely guarded secret of ancient temple builders, master craftsmen and stonemasons, who would sooner die than reveal their privileged knowledge.
