The 181st Imperial Fighter Group is made up of
three squadrons of
TIE
interceptor pilots led by Baron
Soontir Fel, the brother-in-law of New
RepublicX-wing pilot
Wedge
Antilles. The 181st, as it is often referred to as, is made up
of some of the best pilots in the Imperia Navy. They are easily identified by the
red bloodstripes painted on the solar panels of their TIE
interceptors. The 181st Imperial Fighter Group was considered the
best of the best for their tactics and cunning ferocity in air
combat. The 181st saw combat in several places across the galaxy
and may be compared to the Rogue Squadron of the Rebel Alliance.
