The 1988–89 New York Knicks season was the 43rd season for the team in the National Basketball Association (NBA). In the regular season, the Knicks had a 52–30 record and won the Atlantic Division. New York swept the Philadelphia 76ers in the opening round of the playoffs to advance to the Eastern Conference Semifinals, where the team lost to the Chicago Bulls in six games.[1]
