Andrés Gómez defeated Andre Agassi 6-3 2-6 6-4 6-4 in the final to win the Men's Singles title at the 1990 French Open.

In Agassi's opinion, as he states in his 2009 autobiography, his defeat in this final was partly due to issues with the wig he was wearing at the time.^[1]
