1st Britannia Scout Group, has Beaver, Cub, Scout and Explorer
sections. Its home is the purpose built Scout HQ (Built in 1985),
and is considered as one of the best in the Leicestershire
area.
The scout group is within the Scouting district of
Hinckley, Which will be celebrating 100 years of Scouting during
2009.

BritanniaOur campsite is located about half way between
Hinckley and Leicester in a lovely little village
called Kirkby
Mallory
(home of the legendary motor racing cicuit)
and can be
found on the following

The site is set in lovely wooded
grounds just
outside the village and
is within easy reach of many local
activities including the
Bosworth Battlefield Centre and
Railway, Twycross Zoo and Mallory Park
On-Site available
activities include;
10m Climbing Tower and Traverse Wall,
Trim
Trail Activity Centre, Shooting and
Archery Ranges, Frisbie Golf
& Bouldering
plus a great Campfire Circle for evening
get-togethers.
Mission StatementThe aim of the
Association is to promote the development of young people in
achieving their full physical, intellectual, social and spiritual
potential, as individuals, as responsible citizens and as members
of their local, national and international communities.
The
Method of achieving the Aim of the Association is by providing an
enjoyable and attractive scheme of progressive training, based on
the Scout Promise and Law, and guided by adult
leadership.
