2006 News Corporation Management Conference is a private conference for 250 News Corp. executives and a select number of invited guests.
The Conference begins on July 312006 at the Pebble Beach resort in California.

The 2006 event is notable for it's agenda and invited participants.
Company spokesman Andrew Butcher refused to confirm the attendees or the agenda which has been leaked to the LA Times. July 30th


The conference opens with an introduction by Rupert Murdoch, opening remarks by Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger, followed by an address by British Prime Minister Tony Blair.

July 31


The conference will be welcomed by Peter Chernin.
Followed by an interview with Senator John McCain conducted by Gerry Baker entitled "Beyond Red State, Blue State".

This will be followed by a live focus group and instant response dial session facilitated by pollster and researcher Frank Luntz with 20 students entitled Meet the MySpace Generation.
The session will be introduced by Ross Levinsohn.

John Hartigan will introduce gerontologist Ken Dychtwald, Ph.
D. in a talk "Age Power - The lifestyle, marketing, and workforce implications of the baby boomer generation".

The day was capped with dinner introduced by Rupert Murdoch and a Keynote address by Bono entitled "the power of one".

August 1st


The day begins with an introduction by Peter Rice of a presentation by Oakland A General Manager Billy Beane and author Micheal Lewis called "Thinking Outside the Batter's Box".


This will be followed by a panel presentation moderated by Bill Kristol entitled "The Politics of Change - The Trials and Tribulations of Reforming Complex Institutions".
Participating on the panel are; Larry Summers, LAPD Chief Bill Bratton, Newt Gengrich and Joel Klein, Chancellor of the New York City School System.

Vinod Khosla, will be introduced by James Murdoch for a presentation entitled "Earth in the Balance Sheet - A world without gasoline".

James Murdoch will also introduce Former US Vice President Al Gore

The participants will have the afternoon off to participate in 20 activities, including golf, tennis and skydiving.

August 2nd


The conference kicks off with an introduction by Nicholas Negroponte and Chris DeWolfe of a panel discussion called "Inventing the Future Improving our world through innovation".
The panel includes Craig Venter, Burt Rutan, Bill Gross and Amory Lovins.

Robert Thomson will moderate a discussion "Business and the World - How companies are adopting to the flattened world."
Participating in the discussion are John Browne, Terry Semel and associate professor Yasheng Huang MIT Sloan school of Management.

The day is capped off with a panel discussion moderated by Sir Dennis Ross with Sir Jonathan Sacks, Richard Haass, Irshad Manji, and Shimon Peres.
The Topic is "Islam and the West - Bridging the Divide"

August 3rd



The conference starts with "Mind Reading the Zeitgeist, - How to think big by thinking small" a presentation by Malcolm Gladwell.
He was introduced by Jane Friedman.

Roger Ailes will introduce a panel discussion with 4 US colonels returned from active duty in Iraq for a discussion "Under Fire: Life in a War Zone First hand accounts of the Iraqi war".

Rupert Murdoch will then introduce Former US President Bill Clinton for a town hall discussion.
