The Penske workplace shootings occurred on Tuesday, January 12, 2010. Three people were killed and two others critically injured in a workplace shooting at a truck rental business located near the city of Kennesaw, Georgia. The alleged shooter, Jesse J. Warren, was captured and arrested in the incident.

Background

A Kennesaw law requires that most heads of household maintain a firearm together with ammunition. There is no penalty for its violation.

Shooting

The shooter, Jesse J. Warren, a former employee, walked into the Penske truck rental business Tuesday afternoon wearing camouflage. He opened fire shooting 5, killing at least 3 and wounding at least 2 others. Four victims were employees, another was a customer. One victim died at the scene. Four victims were transported in critical condition to a local hospital. One person died at the hospital Roberto Gonzalez, an employee, died the next day.[2] The conditions of a fifth person, the apparent customer, are unknown. Warren was arrested a mile away after he left in a red Chevrolet S-10 truck.
