24 cast is a fan podcast run by three big fans of 24 and one guy who has never seen the show before. Together they discuss the reality, political nature, and excitement of the series and frequently criticize it for taking ridiculous leaps in logic while they remain positive of the overall program. Occasionally, the hosts go off topic and discuss events in their own lives, which gives the podcast more of a radio show feeling. The podcast gained notoriety for being the only explicit 24 podcast. The podcast is recorded in New York City.
The podcast began during the 24's fifth season. Because the podcast is not an official podcast, nor receiving any kind of monetary compensation, the episodes
appeared sporadically. This upset many fans, especially when a podcast for the season finale was never released.
However, in January of 2007, 24 cast returned for 24's sixth season.

It has recently been featured as one of the Top 100 Most Subscribed to Podcasts of 2006 by iTunes.

Principle Cast

Tom from vlog episode "24 cast Season 2 Teaser Part One"

Tom - The de facto leader of the podcast, often leading the discussions.

Tim - He is either loved or hated by fans.

Chris - The organized member. He cares about keeping things formal on the show. He often engages in serious debates with his co-hosts.

Paul - Has never watched 24 before the fifth season, but converted over to the side of the fans. He is most famous on the show for being a participant of multiple scams, which inspired a "scamcast" portion of the show. He also has the distinction of being the most picked on member of the 24 cast by his own co-hosts.

Guest Stars

A.J. - Often discussed in stories by the principle cast. He's appeared on the show in at least one episode. He also made a vlog appearance.

Fake Guest Stars

Episodes frequently end with someone (usually Tom) impersonating a celebrity.
Celebrities that have been impersonated include:
President John F. Kennedy
Edgar Stiles
Tony Almeida
Woody Allen (as interpreted by Paul)
Dr. Claw (on "The Drudge Report Report Report")
Rodney Dangerfield (on "The Drudge Report Report Report")

The Lost Finale

The final podcast for the first season of 24 cast never appeared online. It is unknown whether the episode was recorded or not. A MySpace bulletin before the
airing of the 24 fifth-season finale asked for 24 cast fans to call the "24 cast Phone" to be answered "live" during the recording of the podcast.
In a vlog, the reason for the delay was depicted as being that the Chinese had kidnapped Tom and Tim. Their escape was never shown.

The Drudge Report Report Report

During their hiatus during 24 seasons, 24 cast became a podcast for the Drudge Report. This special series lasted 3.5 episodes before going on another hiatus.
This program was supposed to be a part of 24cast's Coliseum Eisenhower network, which never came into being. Another aborted project was a series of video
logs recording A.J.'s experience going through a detox diet.

In The Media

When the official "24" website [207] listed fan sites during the show's fifth season, 24 cast was among those included.

iTunes featured it as a must listen to podcast in 2006. [208]

The 24 cast members were guests during the Gen Art Film Festival in 2006. ("24 cast Episode 10")
