2M TV is a Moroccan TV service established by the largest Moroccan economic conglomerate ONA before being sold to the Moroccan state. It is based in Casablanca. It is available, free to air locally on Analog signal with coverage over all Morocco and on satellite on Globecast, Nilesat and Arabsat.

2M offers services in Amazigh, Arabic and French.

2M was set up with the aim of endowing the Moroccan audio-visual scenery with a second tv channel in order to promote competition and diversify the offer.

2M started its programs officially on March 4, 1989. It used to be a cable channel and used to broadcast two times a day uncoded. After 7 years of activity, SOREAD (ONA group), the major shareholder, withdrew from the management of this TV channel due to some financial reasons. The Moroccan state signed the concession and took over the control of 2M with a participation in 68% in its capital. This takeover was supported by a vast program to develop the audio-visual sector.

Radio 2M is the companion radio channel to 2M, presenting music, news, and information direct from Morocco in Arabic and French.

2M challenged taboos by debating controversial issues and established a reputation for itself as a symbol of freedom of speech in Morocco. The channel regularly broadcasts news, films, sports and music. Still it's a public TV station and has close ties with the political power and the Makhzen, it has been recently used as an indirect mean to attack independent newspapers as Le Journal.

2M has two different channels, a local analog channel and a satellite channel called 2M Monde (or 2M World), for which the logo is posted above. Both have the same shows but are aired at different times, also 2M Monde doesn't broadcast international movies for which it doesn't have diffusion rights outside Morocco. 2M Monde, was created mainly for Moroccans living in France and other European countries.
