3-Methoxy-4-methylamphetamine (MMA), is a putative entactogen and amphetamine chemical classes. Unlike most related drugs, MMA does not produce stimulant effects, and although it does produce MDMA-appropriate responding in animals, its effects are probably most similar to those of MMAI,[1] but perhaps with some psychedelic component.[2] It was reportedly sold as an illicit drug in Italy in the 1970s.[3]
