302 Squadron is based in the Multi User Depot on
Chandler St
Rockdale
in
Sydney New South Wales.
History
302 Squadron (AAFC) was the second squadron to
be established in
3 Wing,
the New South Wales wing in 1941. When created it was based in
Sydney Technical High School in
Bexley. It was then
renamed to 302 Squadron instead of flight in 2000.
In early
2005 the Squadron was moved to its current location at the Rockdale
Multi User Depot.
Rumours about rifles left from the previous
drill in the school grounds are unsubstantiated as there is no
evidence that the rifles were stored inside the school. Rifles are
only used with the express approval of the CO.
