30th Waffen Grenadier Division of the SS (1st Belarusian) (German: 30.Waffen-Grenadier-Division der SS (weißruthenische Nr.1)) – name of planned to be combat-ready by July 1945 German Waffen SS Grenadier division formed from Belarusian origin volunteers under German command. The order of creation was issued March 9 1945 – on the base of the “Belarusian” SS Brigade (German: Waffen Grenadier Brigade der SS (weissruthenische nr 1)) which created January 15 1945 at Grafenwöhr (SS training camp) from the remnants of the 30th Waffen Grenadier Division of the SS (2nd Russian) disbanded by end of the 1944. Division strength never reached more than a regiment and from 15 April 1945 it formation was canceled . Artillery and anti-tank units of former Division - composed from Germans -forwarded to reinforce 38 Waffen-SS-Panzer-Grenadier Division «Niebelungen» and 25 Waffen-Grenadier Division der SS (ungarische nr 1). “Belarusian volunteers” personnel was dissolved and by end of April 1945 they surrendered to 5 US Army units near Zwiesel.

After disbanding of the 30th Waffen Grenadier Division of the SS (2nd Russian) at the beginning of the January 1945 Heinrich Himmler January 15 1945 signed an order for creation of the Waffen Grenadier Brigade der SS (weissruthenische nr. 1) which structure borrowed from the Latvian Legion. Formation of the Brigade started at the SS training camp Grafenwöhr at Bavaria from the “Belarusian volunteers” originated from the 30th Division and 600 Infantry Division (Vlasov’s ROA). January 24 1945 Belarusian Central Rada leaders met with SS Obersturmbannführer Hans Siegling and discuss the formation and coordination issues. Liaison officer for German- BCR coordination became Barys Rahula. From BKA unit to brigade was forwarded 19 officers and soldiers 200. At that time brigade consist from the one regiment (Waffen-Grenadier-Regiment der SS nr 1 (weissruthenische)) with three battalions. Battalions at large extent were formed from the remnants of the 30th SS Division – 1st and 2nd battalion was formed from the 76 regiments and 3rd - from the 75 regiment. February 10 1945 regiment got a new numbering - Waffen-Grenadier Regiment der SS nr 86 (weissruthenische nr l). March 9 1945 brigade was transformed into division - 30th Waffen Grenadier Division of the SS (1st Belarusian) (German: 30.Waffen-Grenadier-Division der SS (weißruthenische Nr.1) and returned existed at “2-nd Russian” regiments numbering – 75, 76, 77 – while none of them excluding 75 actually exist. Soon Germans abandoned an idea of division creation and from 15 till 20 of April 1945 it was disbanded. German personnel together with artillery and anti-tank unit was transformed into “Kampfgruppe Siegling” and forwarded to reinforce 38 Waffen-SS-Panzer-Grenadier Division «Niebelungen» and 25 Waffen-Grenadier Division der SS (ungarische nr 1). “Belarusian volunteers” personnel was dissolved and by end of April 1945 together with parts of ROA they surrendered to 5 US Army units near Zwiesel.
The symbol chosen was an ancient double cross of St. Euphrosyne of Polatsk with two bars equal in length and parallel to each other. Also from January 29 1945 was adopted an white-red-white stripe on right hand with „Weissruthenien" word.
