The 4735th Air Defense Group is an inactive United States Air Force organization. It was assigned to the Boston Air Defense Sector throughout its existence, being stationed at Otis Air Force Base, Massachusetts. It was inactivated on 1 August 1959.

It had two fighter squadrons assigned, the 58th Fighter-Interceptor Squadron, 18 Aug 1957-1 Aug 1959, and the 60th Fighter-Interceptor Squadron.

Operations

Activated at Otis AFB, replacing 33d Fighter Group with responsibility for air defense of eastern Massachusetts. Was also host unit at the base.

Inactivated 1 Aug 1959 as a result of ADC reorganization and Otis being reoriented to an AEW mission (551st Airborne Early Warning and Control Wing).
