48 Hours is an unreleased album recorded by Ryan Adams in June 2001 in Hollywood.
It was recorded in two days immediately after the completion of Gold.
It was at one point set to be released as part of a 4-CD collection as a follow up to "Gold" but this idea was shelved and instead the album "Demolition" was released, which compiled tracks from the proposed 4 CDs.
The album is even discussed by Sir Elton John during an interview for the "Crossroads" CMTV special he filmed with Ryan.
Like much of Adam's unreleased material, this has been widely distributed over the internet.
However, unlike many of the other sessions, this one has been accompanied by what looks very much like finished artwork.
Of all the unofficial albums that have found their way to the public, this one is the best regarded amd "Like The Twilight" was performed as recently as Adam's Spring 2006 solo tour.
