A seminal punk/metal
band hailing from greater Boston, Massachusetts, 48 Rooms formed in
late 2000 and quickly gained notoriety as a powerful live act
throughout New England. Stagediving, swinging from the rafters,
flying leaps into the air, frantic moshing and sing-along audience
participation were (and are) all common occurances at 48 Rooms'
live performances. The band began receiving consistent radio
airplay on major rock radio stations (WAAF's Bay State Rock, WBCN's
Boston Emissions, WHEB & WGIR) and college radio stations in MA
& NH with songs like "Ascend" and "Two Aces" on the heels of
the release of their first full length album, 2002's "New Order of
the Ages".

Following the departure of
guitarist Matt "Death" Rowe in late 2002, the band became and
remained a 4 piece. In 2003 the band toured throughout New England
and contributed songs to 3 compilations. By the summer of 2003 the
band began recording the follow-up to "New Order of the Ages"; A
five song E.P. titled "Endurance". "Endurance" was released on
Halloween 2003, with a CD release party held that night at the Hard
Rock Cafe in Boston, MA. The E.P. received excellent reviews from
Boston area rock magazines such as Soundcheck and the Noise. The
tracks "A Last Look Part 1" and "Crossed Out" from "Endurance"
instantly received radio airplay. 48 Rooms were semi-finalists in
2003's Beantown Meltdown showcase and capped 2003 with a triumphant
set at WAAF's Holiday Blue Ball opening for Chevelle in
December.
2004 marked more touring for 48 Rooms as wells as
dates opening for bands like Atreyu, Josh Todd of Buckcherry and
Instruction. Their song "Ascend" was contributed to the soundtrack
of the Ronin Racer Motorcycle Stunt DVD "Redline 4 Life". At the
close of 2004 the band chose to take time away from performing live
to focus on recording pre-production demos for a number of new
songs.
