4Fingers is a four-piece band from a town called
Denville, New Jersey.
The group was conceived on January 1
2005, when they brought edgy, yet humorous lyric ideas forth and incorporated it with a diverse sound consisting of
punk, alternative,
hardcore, and hip-hop influenced music.
Their first release was the Applogonous E.P. in April, 2005, which was intended to be, and received as, a joke.
With short success with the album, Few songs from that session were keepable, such as "Tree."
The band survived through the rest of the year by plays on college radio stations at County College of Morris, NJ.
The band also gained recognition by song-plays on websites such as myspace.com.
In December of 2005, 4Fingers woke up from hibernation with a new zeal and a more meaningful intent.
The group wanted to start playing shows, thus a permanent bassist was added, and recording began almost immediately.
4Fingers has been recognized by
Ian MacKaye, the lead singer for the influential hardcore punk band,
