5-25-77 is an upcoming 2007 film written and directed by Patrick Read Johnson. The film is Johnson's autobiographical take on his time spent as a science fiction-obsessed filmmaker in high school at Wadsworth, Illinois shortly before the blockbuster science fiction film Star Wars is released in theaters on May 25, 1977. John Francis Daley stars in the film's leading role as Pat Johnson.

Gary Kurtz, one of the film's producers, is probably most famous for having produced Star Wars as well as its 1980 sequel The Empire Strikes Back.

A preview cut of this film was shown at Star Wars Celebration IV in Los Angeles, California. Appropriately enough, it was shown on 5-25-2007, the 30th anniversary of the premiere of Star Wars (1977).

The role of Janet Johnson was initially offered to actress Carrie Fisher, best known for her work as Princess Leia.
