The 70th Fighter Wing (70th FW) is an inactive United States Air Force unit. Its last assignment was with thr United States Air Forces in Europe, based at Neubiberg Air Base, Germany. It was inactivated on September 25, 1947.

Operational history

The 70th Fighter Wing served in the European theater from February 1944 to May 1945, operating with various fighter groups assigned or attached for brief periods of time. Remained in Europe after the war as part of United States Air Forces Europe. Inactivated in Germany on September 25, 1947.
