André Nilsen is the chairman and managing director
of the
Oxford Council on Good
Governance based at the
University of Oxford. He is also
the publisher and editor-in-chief of the
Oxford Journal on Good
Governance.
He has published on a number of topics,
including political economy,
corporate governance, mergers and
acquisitions, European
politics, foreign and security policy, and international
affairs.
Nilsen brought the
Model United Nations concept to
Norway, having organized
several award-winning delegations to Harvard World Model United
Nations conferences around the world, and is the founder of the
Norway Model United Nations
Society.
Nilsen is also the founder and past president of
the Oxford University Capitalism Society, which organized speaker
and discussion events on politics, economics, and philosophy at the
University of Oxford.
Nilsen is educated at the
University of
Oslo, the
University of Washington,
Ruprecht Karls
University of Heidelberg,
Harvard University, and
Wadham
College at the
University of Oxford, where he is a
Norway
Scholar.
