a.a.s is an artist group based in Birmingham.

a.a.s has no fixed members, rather it is the cataylst for a range of collaborations, "a.a.s. have worked with approximately 200 artist-participants since 2001".

Through this process there is an attempt to re-define what it is to create art as individuals in a group.

The 'output' of a.a.s, is often based on sci-fi references, such as 'Quatermass' as seen in their exhibition at Bloc Space in Sheffield and ‘Gary Seven’ a name taken from a Star Trek episode, which was used as the basis for 'Gary Seven Exhibition' at The Custard Factory Gallery, Birmingham.

Recently a.a.s, were part of 'The EVENT'.
