Formed in November 2005, the Alliance for Responsible Transportation (A.R.T.) is a grassroots, all-volunteer organization that promotes bicycling and walking as viable forms of transportation in Sarasota, Florida, U.S. We accomplish this through education, events, and advocacy. The A.R.T. has grown to roughly 100 members and we earned our 501(c)(3) tax-exempt status in August 2006. Please feel free to read our mission and vision statements, goals, and values statement. comments: high i received a notification of a speedy deletion removal. i did not read the notice about removing the tag until after I had deleted it, i apologize. I am creating this page for a non-profit organization involved with local bicycle advocacy and which can also serve as a model for other cities, towns and communities to integrate bicycles and other vehicles safely into local transportation.

i initally just put up the title and the link to show that would could create a page, then when i went to add the information about the organization i had received the notice about removal. i assure you we are not spam and we are not advertising a product or commercial business
