AEGEE Beograd web site oficialy joined the AEGEE Europe network on 12th of April 1995. once signing the Convencion d'adhesion on the Budapest Agora (general assembly).<br />
Until today AEGEE Beograd has organized many international events involving the AEGEE Europe network and as such hosted thousands of students from all over Europe. Since it's founding, it has been organizing the traditional Summer Universities. Most of the times, the SUs were organized along with some other locals from Serbia. In that way AEGEE Beograd wanted to spread the AEGEE network throughout Serbia and give a chance to event more students to taste the AEGEE spirit.
Former members of AEGEE Beograd, are nowadays very successful individuals employed in high ranked companies, or working in important institutions or institutional bodies.<br />
Prior to the democratic changes in Serbia (5th of October, 2000) AEGEE Beograd was constantly facing difficulties in managing their projects and work. Being registered as NGO, they didn't have the support from the local authorities at that time. Nevertheless, every year they managed to organize the Summer University, host around 30 students from all over Europe and show them the beauties of both Belgrade and Serbia. That was something foreign students couldn't have learned through TV reports on the situation in Serbia. Many of the AEGEE Beograd guests were amazed by the culture and people themselves, and kept on coming back. Aside of Summer Universities, AEGEE Beograd organized numerous seminars and conferences dealing with higher education, active citizenship, human rights protection, cultural diversity overriding etc. During those years, AEGEE Beograd was one of the rare institutions through which Serbian students could visit other cities and countries in Europe and familiarize themselves with other cultures.<br />
After the democratic changes in October 2000, AEGEE Beograd was even more free to dedicate itself to its local and international activities. The number of members increased and therefore the number of active projects being conducted year after a year raised. AEGEE Beograd proved to be a consistent organizations with a clear goal and highly motivate people to achieve it. It shaped many individuals in very competent characters of modern business today.<br />
Today, AEGEE Beograd is considered as one of the top 15 active locals in the AEGEE Europe network. Averagely it organizes 3 major international events per year plus a number of students' exchanges with other AEGEE locals.<br />
