AEI Web Design (AEI)
has served clients in various industries and
e-business environments through
the implementation of personalized
web services which utilize innovative
concepts and employ 21st century user-friendly technology. Since
AEI's inception in early 2000, its staff has been actively seeking
to construct graphically interactive websites that will engage
their clientele with a complex blending of design, innovation and
communication. They wish to reflect the essence of their customer's
enterprise through
the medium of
web
design.
AEI Web Design (AEI) was founded
by Devon Ackerman at the age of 17 in Henry County,
Georgia .
Since late 2002 the company began seeing the trends that were
becoming pervasive in the e-business marketplace and decided to
enter the hosting arena by designing and implementing web and mail
exchange servers to better suit the needs of their clients. By
providing these services themselves, they were able to offer lower
prices and overall better quality to their clients.
AEI
Web Design (AEI) has offered
website, logo, & newsletter
design services as well as
website hosting &
maintenance plans.

AEI Web
Design (AEI) began with a vision to get at the heart of
what kept the internet alive and ticking and it decided that
security, speed, and reliability were at the forefront of the
e-business game. AEI's primary Internet Data Center is
strategically located on one of AT&T's Cable & Wireless
OC48/OC192* Global IP backbones. This location was designed to
maximize performance and bandwidth capacity while ensuring data
security. The facilities are staffed 24 hours a day with on-site
guards and equipped with both interior and exterior closed circuit
television monitoring systems. Access to and from the Internet Data
Center is controlled via highly secure mantraps. These single
entry, hardened portals are extremely effective at limiting access
to the facility to authorized personnel only. The operations of our
Internet Data Center is monitored by a Network Operations Center or
better known as a NOC. Network security is ensured by
state-of-the-art software and hardware for network monitoring and
routing, intrusion detection and filtering. The NOC is staffed on a
24/7 basis by skilled network technicians and analysts, who
continuously monitor the Internet Data Center infrastructure for
any signs of problems. Automated features help network managers to
predict - and often, resolve - problems before they arise. Our NOC
also performs additional testing as needed as well as the
monitoring, backup and archival of server content to offsite backup
tapes. AEI's Internet Data Center allows its customers to take
direct advantage of the high-speed, high-reliability connectivity
options and expansive Global IP Network. They offer an array of
equipment options, network utilities and software packages that are
readily available for fast and easy deployment. Our servers are
managed by Systems Administrators who maintain the operating
systems, software updates, software patches, and the physical
hardware for our servers. Our Systems Administrators are also
trained to manage hot-swappable devices, supplementary equipment
and upgrades with remarkable speed and precision.
Battery Backup and Monitoring Systems
To ensure that our servers, monitoring equipment, and
infrastructure are fully protected during a power failure, our
Internet Data Center is equipped with redundant dual AC and DC
power feeds with multiple backup systems. In the event of a black
out or brown out the following will remain fully operational: UPSs,
PDUs, internet connectivity, security systems, air conditioning,
server chillers, and fire suppression systems. We also have a
stand-by diesel generator with three-day fuel capacity stored
onsite. Fuel vendors are under contract to "stand-by" in the event
of an extended outage.
AEI Web Design's (AEI) Internet Data
Center is equipped with fully redundant fire detection and
suppression systems. These include the VESDA advanced fire
detection system - 100 times more sensitive than conventional fire
detection systems, an additional cross-zoned fire detection system
and a pre-action (dry type) sprinkler system.
