The ALF house has been a punk house since 2002, originating with 5 rent-payers. the most people to occupy it at one time was around 30, not including animals. A baby lived there at one point. It's also haunted. There are shows in the basement, which may or may not result in the central heating being wrecked. For show listings check out myspace.com/alfhouse.

It is occupied by a rotating cast of characters involved in band or friends with people in bands—people who love music and have a personal stake in what they hear or go out to listen to. And if they can arrange to have the bands play in their living room, it saves them a trip out to see them, (because Langley is too far).

The ihabitants do publish zines and the like from time to time, but due to past sketchy<BR> situations, the political affiliations of the house have been kept low pro to nil,<BR> because if everyone was evicted, they would be forced to comply with Vancouver's ridiculously high rent<BR> and rising prices in the cost of living, (thanks to the 2010 Olympic Games, which by the way, are stupid).
