ATI Flag

Anjuman Talaba e Islam (انجمن طلبه اسلام) formally (ATI) is a student organization and the only student representative of Pakistan's dominant majority Sunni Barelvi school of thought although very popular in rural areas student.

Motto

Translation of ATI motto is "To awaken the actual spirit of Islam in the hearts of students which is impossible without enlightening the torch of the love of Prophet (Peace be upon him)."

Aims and objectives

ATI started with the view of awakening the spirit of Islam in the hearts of students. For this objective, the workers of ATI did not choose the thoughts of any specific political or religious leader but used the ideology of the "Love of the Prophet" as their guiding light. They choose their destination to be the path followed by the Islamic prophet Muhammad and they were determined to make Islam a worldwide success.

ATI began its mission by introducing the Islamic way of teaching and raising the standard of education, providing solutions to the problems of students, peaceful education and safe guarding the sacredness of educational institutes. ATI is against the discrimination of students on the basis of wealth, creed and race. It preaches unity of the nation and worked for the stability and building of Pakistan. The main aim is to free the students from the clutches of the political parties which were exploiting the students to their own benefits. The famous lawyer, S.M.Zafar puts it into words:

Ideologies

The ideology of ATI is the ideology of Muhammad, his faithful companions and the various Ulemas and Sufis.

It is the first organization, which disseminates the belief of any individual, but it is the first organization, which is based on the belief that the love of Muhammad is the foundation of Islam. Before ATI, the various organizations and the enemies of Islam made it their point to remove this belief from the hearts of students. With the advent of ATI, students gained the true concept of prophethood and the importance of Muhammad. It is the main objective of ATI to enlighten the "Torch of the Love of our Holy Prophet" in the hearts of students. No other organization could give an explanation as to why this fundamental principle had been ignored by them in their constitutions.

ATI system

According to the constitution of ATI there is a complete framework under which all the activities take place. To enforce the constitution there are various checks placed on all levels. There is a committee called Majlis-e-Mushwarat. The training of the activists is according to the constitution and is a unique feature of Anjuman Talaba e Islam. A single individual can't change the constitution of the organization. Only the majority of members (Arakeen) can amend it. Anjuman Talaba e Islam's Majlis-e-Mushwarat comprises 29 members and the Central Cabinet comprises 17 senior members.

ATI has its own training system. The students pass through following levels:

:Hamdard - Karkun - Ameen - Rukan

After passing through the above levels the workers finally reach to the positions of the members of Majlis-e-Mushwarat. At all levels there is a syllabus to be followed. In addition to the syllabus there are two main monthly magazines "Nishan-e-Manzil" and "Nawa-e-Anjuman" along with other periodic magazines which play a major role in the character building of the activists.

ATI has a complete process of accountability on all levels. According to this process, even the president and other central leaders are accountable before Majlis-e-Mushwarat. The accountability gatherings of ATI are very unique. These gatherings prove to be very informative and help the activists to maintain the positive attitude.
