=AUFORN: A SHORT HISTORY=

In 2001 Diane Harrison of the Australian UFO Research Network took on the task of inviting Australian UFO Researchers and the general public for expressions of interest in starting the Australian UFO Disclosure Project. Diane placed A4 size advertisements in some of Australia's prominent Newage magazines and with the help of Keith Basterfield and a group called AURA this project began in 2003.

DISCLOSURE: AN AUSTRALIAN PERSPECTIVE

The proposed goal of this article is to:

1. Present a fully referenced, balanced view of the history following Wikipedia guidelines

2. Outline the history of “disclosure” in a number of countries over the years in relation to the the recent “disclosure” project

3. Review what has been undertaken in Australia to date

4. Outline a specific strategy for an Australian “disclosure” project

5. Challenge Australian UFO organisations and individual researchers to become involved.

Introduction

Over the last two years, in Australia, there has been much discussion of the concept of “disclosure” in relation to the UFO phenomenon. Many of you present today, will have heard of the US “Disclosure” Project headed by Dr Steven Greer which has undertaken an enormous amount of work in this direction. However, despite lots of discussion, there seems to have been very little concrete action by Australian UFO researchers about “disclosure.”
