The African University Veterinary E-Learning Consortium
(AUVEC) was established in 2006 in Entebbe in Uganda as a partnership for developing veterinary
e-learning courses, services and materials for Eastern and Southern
Africa. The Consortium
includes members from universities in Uganda, Kenya,
Tanzania,
Ethiopia,
South Africa
and Malawi as well as
partner organisations such as the African Virtual University (AVU)
and the University of Edinburgh.

Vision== To have a common e-learning framework, which will
develop, deliver and share learning resources across the African
veterinary network in order to improve the quality of delivery of
animal health and production services for the poor.
