Conception

After the experience with the remake of Desperate Housewives filmed in Argentina in 2005/2006, RCN Televisión, Visto Producciones and Disney Media Networks signed a second contract to produce a remake of Shonda Rhymes's Grey's Anatomy. It was initially conceived as a weekly serialized TV show, but the low ratings the remake of the Desperate Housewives remake they decided to make changes into the story to make it look more like a telenovela and this way it would be able to be aired five times a week like an ordinary telenovela.
