A Mantle the Sea is an indie rock band from
Malaysia.
In 2004, the band released its
debut EP. Entitled "Take a Powder", the four-song record explores
the theme of leaving life's disappointments. The EP is a fitting
introduction to A Mantle the Sea's genre-bending music,
characterized by a unique fusion of melodic guitar-driven
power pop, indie and
old-school rock, with hints of Brit-pop, jazz and blues.
