A Plea for Purging is a Christian metal band based out of Nashville, TN. The band is currently touring to support their sophomore Facedown Records release, Depravity. Their first release as part of the Facedown Records family, A Critique of Mind and Thought, was released in 2007.

A Plea for Puring is a Christian Metal band from Nashville, Tennessee, currently signed to the California-based hardcore label [Facedown Records]. The band has so far independently released two E.P.s, "A Plea for Purging" and "Quick is the Word; Steady is the Action".

A Plea For Purging strives to maintain a positive influence as well as a Christ centered message both on stage and off.

The lead Singer is affectionately known as "Sausage Fingers" and recently played a number of shows at The Cornerstone Festival in Bushnell, Illinois, accompanied by the rest of the band.

The band is also expected to come out with a full-length debut album in October or November named "A critique of mind and though" that will include both new songs and a remastered version of "slaying of the serpentine dragon" from their self titled ep and have been streaming a new song titled "while the sparrow sleeps" on their myspace page.
