A True Church is a small Christian home fellowship based in California headed by pastor Darwin Fish . They are often viewed by other Christians to be extremists, and indeed their home page makes several references to the narrow gate (as opposed to the broad way) of which Jesus spoke.

Doctrinal views

A True Church takes positions that are usually very different from the traditional Christian church. They believe that they adhere to every Word of God by taking these positions:
  • They oppose the American Revolution.
  • They do not oppose drinking alcohol in moderate amounts
  • They oppose Arminianism and five-point Calvinism -- their views on the five points most closely resemble four-point Calvinism in that they believe in unlimited atonement.
  • They oppose the celebration of Christmas.
  • They oppose KJV-Onlyism.
  • They do not oppose gambling moderately.
  • They believe that God is a man.
  • They do not oppose masturbation with pure thoughts.
  • They oppose the Trinity, instead believing that the Seven Spirits of God are God.
  • They oppose slavery based on race, but not slavery itself.
  • They do not oppose smoking without addictions.
  • They believe people who commit suicide go to Hell.
  • They do not oppose polygyny.
  • They believe that those who are saved have only one doctrine.
  • They believe in the Leviathan as an actual creature on the earth that still lives today.

  • Protests

They have attended several religious events, including Greg Laurie's Harvest Crusade and an event held by Billy Graham, where they have protested with signs such as "Laurie Leads to Hell," "The Lord Kill; Repent," and other signs that Christians who attend the events have found highly offensive.
