A Week From Thursday is a rock band created by Ryan O'Neill in August of 2006. The band includes Joey Bottino (bassist) and Chris Martinelli (drums).

Band History

When A Week From Thursday was formed it was a slow start. Ryan and Chris just met July of that summer. Ryan introduced Joey to Chris in the beginning of 8th grade. They knew eachother, but they never really met until that day. They soon enough had a full practice. Playing all Blink-182 covers and writing new riffs and beats. Soon enough they made a new song staying up until 5 A.M. in August, 2006. This song was, at that point, called "The Girlfriend Song". At this point they didn't even have a band name. It was a concern, but not the main one. They needed to make more songs so they could make an EP. For now they just practiced all the songs they new. Ryan taught Joey parts for bass and helped make some riffs for songs.

With Blink-182 as their idols, they made stupid humor songs and stupid love songs, such as "The Girlfriend Song" and their next song "LMAO", A.K.A "Laughing My A** Off". Soon enough Angels and Airwaves came out with "The Adventure", which was the greatest song according to Ryan. At that point Ryan was into The Cure and U2. He listened to all this old 70's, 80's, and 90's punk music, such as, The Ramones, Decendants, Bad Religion, Pennywise, Green Day, and Blink-182.

O'Neill has since talked about Hansen since they released him. He says," He was one of my best friends, still is, but we just found different styles of music and I started the band and I won't let him change anything. He wasn't the leader, and we don't want a leader." Hansen is now in a band named The Secret Service. Their first show was played on September 3rd, 2007 at a party.
