A Shanty No Lemon is the name of a popular podcast based out of Columbus, Ohio in the United States. Featuring 3 gay guys (Anthony, Andy and Tim), a token straight guy (Patrick), and various other character the show centers about local news events, worldly news events, science, science fiction, politics all with a gay theme.

The Podcast

The show started June 2005 located out of Sunbury Ohio, a suburb of Columbus. Anthony invited his close neighbor friends, Tim and Andy, and Patrick and after playing with Anthony's name in an anagram generator they came up with the title of the show. Within three episodes and the advancement of the iTunes music store adding podcasts to the directory, reader email came pouring in and gathered them an immediate small audience. Focusing on political topics with comedy, the occasional sexual story, the guys will discuss items on their mind, in their hearts and in the news.

The show is posted weekly, with the occasional live backyard 'gig' or an interview with a famous gay or local celebrity. Anthony and Patrick will sometimes interview famous individuals, the most recent being Richard Hayes Phillips who has been involved in uncovering and analyzing the actual forensic data of the stolen 2004 election in Ohio. Some other featured celebrities have been Gaye Adegbalola, Trina Hamlin, and other famous podcasts as Feast of Fools, and PNSexplosion.

The content of the show are usually broken up into individual parts and posted over the course of the week. The shows are usually performed live at Anthony's home, but occasionally some one will Skype in if they can't make it.

The Regulars

Anthony A. (aka double AA)<br>
Anthony is the creative director and also runs the equipment (with the occasional help from Patrick). The show is completely edited each week by Anthony and being an experienced interactve media developer, he develops both the website and promotional information. Anthony is most noted for getting flustered with words on occasion and his love of Phil Collins, Genesis, and Yes.

Tim<br>
Tim is the partner of Andy, who is also a political major. Focusing on wacky jokes, quick retorts, Tim can go from extreme craziness to decisive political wit. Tim is also a player in the Ohio Renaissance Festival and thus brings many of his skills learned there to the show. Tim is also a giant Elton John fan and will usually share a song or two with Anthony on occasion.

Andy<br>
Andy is the parter of Tim, making them the couple of the show. Andy is known for being a dedicated libertarian. Also involved highly with Information Technology, Andy and Patrick will sometimes go off on tangents featuring technology. At the same time Andy also can get into intense discussions with Tim and has also walked off the show once, only to return the next week. Andy is probably the most verbally skilled of the group.

Patrick<br>
Patrick is the token straight guy of the group, who has been a friend of Anthony's for many years. Patrick focuses on bringing a straight point of view to the table, asking questions that straight people wish to ask, and also does a one off tech segment with Anthony from time to time. Patrick is the IT guru of the bunch and also helps with equipment setup and has run the show once. Patrick's wife Erica has appear on the show on occasion.

Jason (aka Ze Piper)<br>
Jason is Anthony's roommate who will appear from time to time to make comments. Jason is also straight and is known for his affinity of the female figure.

Todd (aka Gay Bob Costas)<br>
Todd is a friend of Anthony, Tim and Andy's who focuses on Sports. Todd makes occasional appearances when possible and is known for his very moderate and conservative views.

Colonel T (aka Tim2)<br>
Colonel T is a friend of Anthony's who lives in Chicago and has his own blog and podcast The Colonel T Show.
