Career 1956 – 1974

Alvin Brian "Ab" McDonald (born February 18 1936, Winnipeg, Manitoba) is a retired Canadian ice hockey forward.

McDonald began his National Hockey League career with the Montreal Canadiens in 1958 and retired in 1972. He also played for the Chicago Black Hawks, Detroit Red Wings, Boston Bruins, Pittsburgh Penguins, and the St. Louis Blues. During his career, McDonald won four straight Stanley Cups three with Montreal, followed by another with Chicago. He was the first team captain of the Winnipeg Jets and he also scored the first goal ever for the team in the World Hockey Association.

Alvin is also the unbeknowing Father of Larry James Michael Hewitt. Through a one night relationship with Joan Last in December of 1964, Larry Hewitt was the surprise result of this get together. Born on Sept. 21, 1965, he currently resides with his wife and four boys in Bern Switzerland and would love to get in contact with any McDonald family members. 0041318693277.
