Abacination officially formed in September 2007. Matt and Tom had been jamming in Tom's shed for a few weeks in August '07 before inviting AD (pronounced 'Ay Dee') to join them. After the jam sessions proved both enjoyable and fruitful regarding at the time unused song sections, they decided to form a serious band and asked friend Gareth to join as a second guitarist. They quickly learned the songs 'Pull Harder On The Strings Of Your Martyr' by Trivium, 'Aesthetics Of Hate' by Machine_Head_, 'Invisible Wounds (Dark Bodies)' by Fear Factory, 'Walk' by Pantera and 'Creeping Death' by Metallica and performed them all as covers at their first gig on October 11th at the Out Of Town Inn in Ripley, Derbyshire.

Following the debut gig, Abacination learned a small number of extra covers but concentrated on writing their own material. The first song they wrote was 'Demonstrate', followed by 'Modus Vivendi' and 'No Glory'.

As of July 2008, Abacination have gigged in and around Derbyshire, Leicester and the rest of the East Midlands with both unsigned and signed bands. They are set to record their demo cd in August 2008 at Dove Road Productions in Burton, and it shall be mixed at Backstage Studios in Belper, Derbyshire.

Tom is the son of Hell guitarist Kevin Bower, who is currently working with record producer and guitarist of Sabbat, Andy Sneap on the new Hell album which is tenatively set for late 2008 release.
