Abelisaurs were a group of ceratosaurian dinosaurs which lived in the Southern hemisphere (with the exception of Tarascosaurus in Southern Europe) during the Cretaceous period. Some well-known dinosaurs of this group include Abelisaurus, Carnotaurus, and Majungasaurus.
