Built in the 1960s, the Abington Junior High School building was innovative, providing special classrooms for small groups as well as large lecture halls.
Until 1983, the building had only 9th and 10th graders, with 11th and 12th graders in their own separate building,
Abington High School, South Campus, while this building was known as Abington High School, North Campus.

Curriculum
Seventh Grade Curriculum: English, science, mathematics, social studies, world language, reading, physical education, health, computer literacy, art and an elective of band, orchestra, chorus, exploring technology or personal development.
Eighth Grade Curriculum: English, science, mathematics, social studies, world language, reading, physical education, music, family and consumer sciences, and an elective of band, chorus, orchestra, art, exploring technology, or multimedia technology.
Ninth Grade Curriculum: The ninth grade represents the first year of the high school program.
Students earn points toward the fulfillment of graduation requirements with courses in English, mathematics, science, social studies, world language, physical education and health, and an extensive elective program.
