Biography

Absent Element is a Raleigh, North Carolina-based band which has released one CD, entitled "Uprooted." Their lead singer, Chris Daughtry, was a top four finalist on season five of American Idol, before being eliminated on May 10, 2006. The band has also released an EP CD, recorded in 2005. Band members claim their influences include such bands as Sevendust, Pantera, Tool, Shinedown, Fuel, GlassJaw, Killswitch Engage, Led Zeppelin, 10 Years, Mudvayne, Lamb of God, and Chevelle.

From their own website http://www.absentelement.com;
"Absent Element's dedicated craftsmanship is an extraordinary mix of high-energy performances and heart-pounding music, a product of their collective years of experience."

Intense writing sessions spill over into hours of practice, resulting in a sensational experience for the audience.

In every concert they render the ultimate performance, as a result of thought provoking, honest, and passionate lyrics.

Absent Element has been lighting up the stages of North Carolina, including performances at Brewballs, Castelda's, and the Clubhouse. Airplay on Elon University's radio station and 96.1 FM in Raleigh has launched the fast growing fan base. They have a more recent following in San Diego, Marina Del Rey, and Los Angeles, California due to several private performances.

Absent Element's mind-blowing sound has been compared to Shinedown, Chevelle, Sevendust, and Live, but Absent Element has become a powerful force in creating a unique brand of truly alternative rock.
