Action Replayy (formerly Action Replay[1]) is Indian science-fiction romantic-comedy film being directed by Vipul Shah and starring Akshay Kumar and Aishwarya Rai[2] in lead roles. Neha Dhupia, Om Puri, Kirron Kher, Randhir Kapoor and Rajpal Yadav play supporting roles in the film. It is based on the 1994 Gujarati Indian play Action Replay.[3] The film is slated for release coinciding with Diwali 2010.[4]

Plot

Kishen (Akshay Kumar) and his wife Mala (Aishwariya Rai) have been constantly squabbling in their 35 years of marriage, and their son, Bunty (Aditya Roy Kapur) is sick and tired of them fighting because it may ruin his relationship with his girlfriend, Tanya (Sudeepa Singh). Bunty goes back in time using Tanya's granddad's time machine to when his parents were unmarried in the 1970s so that they have a love marriage and not an arranged marriage.

Production

Filming scheduled for Manali in July 2010 was rescheduled when landslides blocked the roads near Rohtang Pass and the crew was evacuated by the army.[5]
