Adam Motor Company, Ltd. was an automobile assembler based in Karachi, Pakistan. Adam Motor Company was a manufacturer of light trucks, a 4x4 Jeep and passenger cars. Adam Motor was the only local company to have designed and manufactured vehicles in Pakistan. In a true sense, it was the only total Pakistani automobile manufacturer to have ever existed in the country. All other players in Pakistan's auto industry are Japanese, and are involved in assembling auto products from imported Knocked Down Kits (CKDs). Till date, other than vehicles made by Adam Motors, no vehicles have ever been designed in Pakistan. Adam motors is no longer in operation.[1]

Initially Adam Motor was involved in assembling light trucks, followed by a four wheel drive off-road vehicle. After some time they started assembling the Revo. The company had planned to produce totally indigenous cars. The company had planned to eventually export Adam cars as well.

Financial constraints and an increasingly monopolistic auto industry forced the company to close down its operations. The founder of the company has cited lack of government support as one of the reasons for the closure. The newly formed company lost much needed revenue when the Government of Pakistan failed to honor its commitment to purchase cars from the company. [2]
