Adaptive A.I.
Inc. was formed in December
2001 with the express goal of developing and commercializing an effective, fully functional (and probably a world-first) general intelligence
software engine.
The company now has seventeen full-time members on its team, who in a relatively short time have made significant headway towards their goal.
In
2005 the company transitioned from a research focus to practical implementation.
Adaptive A.I. is currently in an intense engineering/development phase geared towards commercialization.
The current project of Adaptive A.I.
(called Project Aigo) is planned to be completed by January
2009.
The realization of this project is intended to result in the appearance of so-called high-level thinking computers that are capable of self-recursive improvement.
The final aim of the company is to develop human-level artificial general intelligence preferably before
2012, but definitely by
2017 at the very latest.
